As Women’s History Month comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the powerful stories and perspectives shared by the incredible women of Resource Innovations. Throughout the month, we gathered insights, experiences, and advice from our team—women who are shaping the clean energy transition, mentoring the next generation, and driving real impact in their communities.

Rather than limiting these voices to a single moment in time, we’re launching an ongoing initiative, "Voices of Impact," to continue highlighting the stories, achievements, and wisdom of the women at RI. Their journeys are too inspiring to confine to just one month, and we’re excited to share them more thoroughly with you throughout the year.

Below are just a few of the insights shared by our team members:

Clarissa Kusel, Market Transformation Program Manager

On the Path to Clean Energy

“The clean energy movement needs diverse perspectives—from engineers to filmmakers to social scientists. Everyone’s unique skills contribute to the change we need.”

Each of Us is a Link in the Chain of Progress

“Women’s History Month is about honoring the women who’ve lifted me along the way. Their support has shaped my journey, and I look forward to contributing to a world that empowers women who will continue to create positive change long after I’m gone.”

— Crystal Umila

Continuing the Legacy of Trailblazing Women

— Lynette Curthoys

Tonya Glass, IRA Program Manager

Mentorship and Collective Care

“Women’s History Month is a chance to acknowledge the resilience, perseverance, and love women bring to the world. Mentorship often means simply being available to listen and support when needed.”

— Tonya Glass

Chrissy Crowell, Solution Delivery Director

Celebrating Generational Progress

"Women’s History Month is a time to reflect on how small successes build over generations. As the first in my family to earn a college degree—a privilege the women who raised me couldn’t afford—I celebrate the collective progress we make, one step at a time, to positively shape our world."

— Chrissy Crowell

Carly Norris, Client Success Manager

Harness What Makes You Unique

“Embrace your strengths and your weaknesses. Often, what you perceive as a weakness can become your greatest superpower. Celebrate your unique skills, practice articulating them, and seek opportunities to grow.”

— Carly Norris

Fabiola DeCaratachea, Senior Director

Embracing Diverse Perspectives

“Don’t underestimate what you bring to the table. Your lived experience enriches your contributions, and your voice is needed.”

— Fabiola DeCaratachea

Shayla Olson-Nesby, Safety and Training Manager

The Power of Pivoting and Fostering Safety

“To women in male-dominated fields: Don’t be afraid to pivot. Don’t be afraid to speak up. And never underestimate the power of being someone who genuinely cares. Caring about the safety and well-being of others isn’t just a job—it’s a calling, and one that has the power to change lives.”

— Shayla Olson-Nesby

Heather Prince, Senior Talent Acquisition Coordinator

Believe in Your Impact

"Being a woman in clean energy means driving sustainability while also empowering women to lead, innovate, and inspire future generations. Advocate for yourself and others in this historically male-dominated industry—speak up, take space, and claim your seat at the table."

— Heather Prince

Small Actions Lead to Big Impact

"I’ve adopted 'Celebrate and Motivate' as a reminder to recognize the small collective wins that move us forward. In our mission-driven, community-focused industry, progress thrives on collaboration and support. When we lift each other up, we build a more innovative and inclusive future."

— Vrinda Gaba
